Dr. Ryan Gunter is a double board-certified colorectal and general surgeon practicing with Houston Colon. Serving patients across the Greater Houston area, he utilizes advanced robotic, laparoscopic, and natural orifice techniques to perform minimally invasive surgery for both benign and malignant diseases of the colon and rectum. His background in epidemiology drives his passion for patient-centered outcomes and quality healthcare research.

When he is not in the hospital or clinic, Dr. Gunter finds his greatest joy in spending time with his wife, Sarah, their son, John, and their dog, Red. A proud Texas A&M Aggie, he is also a shade-tree mechanic and an amateur pit boss who loves nothing more than hosting family and friends.
